A partir de la d\u00e8cada dels cinquanta va comen\u00e7ar a desenvolupar una important tasca editorial dissenyant revistes m\u00edtiques com <em>Eros<\/em>, <em>Fact<\/em>, <em>Avantgarde<\/em> i <em>Up&amp;Lower Case<\/em>. El seu treball editorial es caracteritza per una gran austeritat en recursos combinada amb una brillant execuci\u00f3 tipogr\u00e0fica, molt din\u00e0mica alhora que equilibrada. Observeu en el treball de Lubalin com sempre dona protagonisme a la forma tipogr\u00e0fica per refor\u00e7ar el missatge gr\u00e0fic: a vegades substituint algun car\u00e0cter per crear una analogia entre la forma de la paraula i el seu significat (a), d\u2019altres ajustant l\u2019espaiat entre les lletres per crear unitat i generar impacte (b), i a vegades senzillament aplicant al text valors de mida exagerats respecte a la p\u00e0gina, nom\u00e9s per deixar que la mateixa forma tipogr\u00e0fica llueixi amb el seu m\u00e0xim esplendor (c).
